HIGHLIGHTS
At XIKE, we carefully listen to end users’ application conditions and use that knowledge to guide and improve our R&D process.
First, we focus on studying enzyme physicochemical properties. As is known, enzymes react with the substrates just like the “lock and key”. Enzyme effectiveness highly depends on the substrates they are targeting at. Additionally, most enzymes are proteins whose activity can be greatly affected by temperature, PH, minerals, heavy metal. Therefore, the study on enzyme physicochemical properties are one of the highlights for XIKE R&D team.
Secondly, we are keen on studying the performance of enzymes produced from different microbial sources (i.e., fungi & bacteria) and fermentation methods (i.e. submerged fermentation & solid-state fermentation). We create enzyme portfolios in terms of their activities, side activities, endo- and exdo- activities, effective and optimal PH & temperature, and upload them to XIKE Enzyme Characteristics Database.
Thirdly, we pay attention to enzyme application study. Based on our knowledge, popular substrate materials in industrial applications are starch, NSPs (Non-starch Polysaccharides), proteins and lipids. However, these materials usually exist in complex combinations, such as crops or grains in alcohol industry, fruit in juice industry, fabrics in textile industry, cereals in baking industry, miscellaneous meals in feed industry. Our R&D team has obtained complete and in-depth understanding of these materials by rigorous lab and application research. These results greatly contribute to XIKE Enzyme Characteristics Database which enables our technicians to specially develop enzymes that adapt to different industries.
Last but not least, XIKE possesses multiple enzyme analysis methods and quality verification systems. We can carry out scientific comparisons for enzymes from different sources. With such analysis and verification systems, we have provided a great many reliable enzyme solutions for customers.
