On April 1, 2015, the 19th China International Food Additives and Ingredients Exhibition (FIC), kicked off at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. With the expand of consumers’ demand for healthy and nutritious foods continues, safety and health have become consumption concept.

This year, XIKE not only brought high-quality whole-line starch sugar processing enzyme, but also brought the first functional oligosaccharide product (oligofructose) to the exhibition, which got o lot of attention from people.

On the afternoon of April 2, the conference with topic of “Enhancing Food Value and Customizing Exclusive Sweetness” was held in the M6-03 room. XIKE invited Professor Zhengxiang Wang, the technical director of our company, to make a report on “Probiotics – Fructooligosaccharides (F0S)”. Professor explained the functional characteristics, health effects, safety and application fields of prebiotics, oligofructose (FOS), and pointed out that oligofructose is a healthy wealth for human beings. At present, more than 300 products have been added in China. Oligofructose adds value to the product, 40% of which has been available in the past 2 years, which shows the development momentum and prospects of oligofructose.
