The enzyme preparations used more in textile printing and dyeing mainly include cellulase, amylase, pectinase, lipase, peroxidase, laccase/glucose oxidase.

CellulaseCellulase (β-1,4-glucan-4-glucan hydrolase) is a general term for enzymes degrading cellulose to generate glucose. It is not a monomeric enzyme but a synergistic multi-component. The enzyme system is a complex enzyme composed of exo-β-glucanase, endo-β-glucanase, and β-glucosidase, as well as xylanase with high activity. Acts on cellulose and products derived from cellulose.
AmylaseAmylase is the general term for enzymes that hydrolyze starch and glycogen. Usually, amylase catalyzes the hydrolysis of starch size on fabrics. Due to the high efficiency and specificity of amylase, the desizing rate of enzyme desizing is high, and desizing is fast. Less pollution, the product is softer than the acid and alkali methods and does not damage the fiber.
Amylase is a desizing enzyme in the printing and dyeing industry. According to different use temperatures, it can be divided into normal temperature desizing enzyme, medium temperature desizing enzyme, high temperature desizing enzyme, wide temperature desizing enzyme, etc.
PectinasePectinase is also a compound enzyme, which refers to the general term of various enzymes that decompose pectin. Pectinase mainly comprises pectin lyase, pectin esterase, polygalacturonase, and pectate lyase. Pectinase is now primarily used in the pretreatment and scouring of cotton and hemp fiber, and it is called the scouring enzyme when it is compounded with other enzymes.
LipaseLipase can hydrolyze fat into glycerol and fatty acids, and fatty acids can be further oxidized to synthesize sugars. In the textile industry, lipase is mainly used for degreasing and improving the performance of textile raw materials. Lipase mainly treats wool fiber, removes some lipids, makes physical and chemical changes, and improves wool quality.
CatalaseCatalase, an enzyme that catalyzes the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide into oxygen and water, exists in the peroxide body of cells. Catalase is a marker enzyme of the peroxisome, accounting for about 40% of the total enzymes. Catalase is present in various tissues of all known animals, especially in high concentrations in the liver. In the printing and dyeing industry, Catalase is commonly known as deoxygenase, deoxygenase, deoxygenase, etc.. Now there are two main types of catalase used: animal liver catalase and plant catalase; the latter performs better.
Laccase/glucose oxidase:Laccase is an oxidoreductase. Genetically modified Aspergillus niger laccase can carry out the distressed finishing process of denim clothing. The obtained fabric has a thick handle, smooth surface, and bright and elegant color. Glucose oxidase is mainly used for bleaching and finishing fabrics. This kind of enzyme treatment is very effective for producing hydrogen peroxide. The treatment makes it unnecessary to add hydrogen peroxide stabilizer. After treatment, the fabric feels soft and plump.
